Laura Garbataviciute

Laura Garbatavičiūtė is a senior trainee at the Irish Institute of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, providing low-cost psychoanalytic psychotherapy at Iveagh Clinic on Wexford Street.

Laura holds a first-class honours MSc in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from Trinity College Dublin. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in the Object Relations tradition and informed by an ongoing interest in neuroscience and the mind-body connection.

Laura's clinical focus includes loss and bereavement, experiences of illness and mortality, depression and melancholia, the transmission of generational trauma, addiction, chronic stress, depletion, and difficulties in accessing creativity and self-expression. Her work offers a thoughtful, practical approach to emotional work, emphasising self-compassion, resilience, and the possibility of sustainable, meaningful change.
