Lorraine Galligan

Psychotherapy/Counselling

"I am a qualified psychotherapist who works with people dealing with thoughts and feelings they often don’t say out loud, intrusive thinking, emotional overwhelm, shame, fear, or a sense of being stuck. These are the parts of ourselves we usually keep buried, even from the people closest to us. My role is to create a space where those thoughts can finally be spoken, without judgment, without pressure.

My formal training in psychotherapy (BA Hons in Psychotherapy & Counselling) has equipped me with the tools to support individuals navigating emotional distress, identity challenges, and internalised patterns that no longer serve them. I draw from trauma-informed, person-centred, and psychodynamic approaches

Together, we look at what’s really going on beneath the surface. Through focused, honest conversation, we will begin to untangle patterns that have kept you in survival mode. The goal isn’t just to manage symptoms, it’s to understand the roots, regain control, and reconnect with the parts of you that may have been lost along the way.

My approach is collaborative and grounded. I don’t assume or judge. Together, we explore what is beneath the surface so you can better understand yourself, interrupt unhelpful cycles, and create meaningful change.
